Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, announced the Scroll (SCR) token as the 60th project to join its Launchpool. Scroll is a second layer solution (Layer 2) that uses Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) and ZK-Rollup technologies, with the aim of improving the performance of the Ethereum blockchain.

In this way, the network seeks to facilitate the creation of more scalable, efficient and secure applications in the decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) sectors.

In the announcement made on October 7, Binance also detailed the launch of an airdrop of the Scroll token (SCR) via Launchpool. The exchange invited platform users to lock their BNB and FDUSD assets in separate pools to “farm” SCR tokens.

As the exchange informed in the announcement, the distribution period will take place for two days, starting at midnight (UTC) on October 9th and ending at 23:59 (UTC) on October 10th.

Binance lista Scroll (SCR) no Launchpool

The total supply of Scroll (SCR) will be 1,000,000,000 tokens, with 55,000,000 (5.5% of the total) going towards Binance Launchpool rewards. When the token actually arrives on Binance for pre-market and spot trading, the initial circulating supply will be 190,000,000 SCR. This corresponds to 19% of the total tokens.

Binance also informed that the SCR token will be available for trading on the exchange, in the SCR/USDT pair, on October 11th, at 10:00 (UTC). However, the platform has not yet clarified when the pre-market trading period will end or when the token will be available for spot trading. During the pre-market phase, Binance will suspend token withdrawal, transfer, and deposit functionality.

According to Binance rules, only main accounts and regular user accounts will be able to participate in Scroll (SCR) trading during the pre-market period. Additionally, residents of countries and regions such as the United States, Crimea, Australia, Canada, North Korea and Japan, among others, will not be able to participate in the Launchpool program.
